At this time of year, around about Christmas,
With a festive pudding or maybe just a biscuit,
Expecting a turkey or perhaps a plump pheasant,
You might want a car as a shiny holiday present.
Whether you’re one of those toffs like the President,
Or just one of the little guys, a poor little Peasant,
Get into the spirit, don’t be so malicious,
Think about others, be upstanding and ambitious.
You have my best wishes and my full consent,
If you want I will get you a calendar, an advent,
Gather round the fire with mulled wine or brandy,
It will be fun, that much I guarantee.
Whether you believe in religion or think it’s fictitious,
Just think about the cookies which are very delicious,
Don’t worry, don’t fret, don’t disagree,
Just look at your stuff under the big green Christmas tree.
